Research and
Development
As the world is
reshaping itself in terms of Power, Economics and
Scientific Developments, it has become essential for us to
upgrade ourselves and stand firm in changing scenario. The
rate of scientific development has increased many folds in
past few decades. New scientific tools are emerging day by
day and henceforth making us further strong to embark
other dimensions of research. MIT is now all set to
contribute its part, towards creation and development of
multi-talented and highly motivated scientific work force.
To
promote Research and Development activities in the
Institution, BRNSS Research Council was constituted in the
month of July’2007, under the chairmanship of Prof.(Dr.)
Ram Gopal, former Director, DRDO and a
former colleague of Hon’ able Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
Prof. Ram Gopal is one of the 10 core members to guide DST
in implementing the programmes.

MIT.
Presently
MIT is focusing on highly emerging areas like photovoltaic
and piezo-electricity. To motivate
the students and faculty members towards pursuing research
in these fields, A National workshop was organized in
March’08, covering various topics of Material Sciences
and Nanotechnology. Various Eminent Researchers,
Scientists and Academicians delivered their lectures. Many
faculty members and students have research papers to their
credit at various National and International levels.
MIT
has funded some research projects to its faculty members
under Project Development Scheme of BRNSS Research
Council. These projects are based on Photovoltaic cells,
Piezo electricity and modification of machinery being used
in slate pencil mines of Mandsaur District.
Research Projects
Completed:
1. Development
of an Organic-Inorganic blend based hybrid Photovoltaic
solar cell
In Progress:
With
a vision to mark strong presence at various platforms MIT
is heading to further strengthen its laboratories and
skills.
